Amalia Yosefa is a landscape artist deeply inspired by the ethereal beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her work captures the quiet magic of nature—misty horizons, shifting light, and the transient moments that evoke nostalgia and wonder. Known for her atmospheric and emotive approach, Amalia blends rich textures and layered color to create paintings that feel both familiar and dreamlike. She primarily works in watercolor, but also explores acrylic and oil, allowing her to convey depth and emotion through different mediums.
A two-time artist-in-residence at Edgewood Cottage, Amalia has showcased her work at curated art events, including those hosted by the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum. She is also a dedicated educator, offering immersive painting workshops that encourage creative flow, mindfulness, and personal connection to nature. Her teaching style is intuitive and organic, inviting students to explore their own artistic voice while embracing imperfection and discovery.
Through both her paintings and her classes, Amalia seeks to create moments of stillness, reflection, and awe—offering a glimpse into the quiet soul of the mountains she calls home.
