Shirley Light is a landscape artist living in the spectacular Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. She’s demonstrated an innate artistic talent from an early age and continuously strove to bring her creative passion to fruition. Her passion for landscape works and deep love for nature has led her to travel all across the country and Europe to capture the various beautiful vistas in her contemporary impressionistic style. Her brushstrokes are both light and textured, which lend her pieces a sense of depth and movement. Her emphasis on light and shadow imbue her pieces with a dramatic mood and leave the viewer with a sense of both melancholy and majesty.
